YencaP Manager installation guide



Fedora Core 5

Package requirements

All the following packages are available with the default Fedora repositories. It is strongly recommended to use yum or yumex in Fedora. It will solve all the package dependencies and install everything automatically.

Note: If you want to build and install python-4Suite-XML-1.0-rc4 from targz, you need to install first python-devel. Otherwise, it won't compile!

Install command

The following command installs yencap and all its dependencies if needed.

yum install yencap-${version}.rpm

Uninstall command

yum remove yencap

Starting YencaP

How to start YencaP?

It works like most daemons. The scripts are stored in /etc/init.d directory. You must be root to start the daemon.

/etc/init.d/yencap-manager start

How to stop YencaP Manager?

su
/etc/init.d/yencap-manager stop

How to restart YencaP Manager?

su
/etc/init.d/yencap-manager restart
